Transcript of radio interview given on 2/6/09, Marley’s 64th Birthday

So today I think Bob would be very very psyched because who amongst so many of us CANNOT feel a huge energetic shift towards the hope that the leadership in our country might actually start to bend towards being trustworthy and to actually act with compassion for all of humanity instead of allowing itself to be bullied by a hand full of people and corporations who only care about money and the ruthless domination of other human beings.

Indeed Bob would be psyched, because his music brings LIGHT to DARKNESS and the dark times we’ve been living through now for decades (if not centuries), that has been kicked into double overdrive for the last 8 years, DESPERATELY NEEDS SOME LIGHT!

If you’ve been watching the news the past few days it’s come to light that 6-7 bank presidents are taking huge bonuses for themselves out of the bail out money that we, YES WE, the tax payers are giving them,…….all this while over half of the population on earth live in poverty and, here, in our own country people are loosing jobs by the thousands.

One bank just handed out $4 billion in bonuses while the CEO of another has a $73 million salary! These people claim that, amongst other ridiculous schemes of justification for such abuse, that such compensation is needed to retain TOP TALENT.

With all the upheaval going on these days it has generally come to light that the root cause for the breakdown we are witnessing originated from the schemes put forth by this, “TOP TALENT,” found in US banks and corporations.

THINK ABOUT IT……..These are the big fish who always try to eat down the small fish….they would do anything to materialize their every wish.

LISTEN, no problem can be solved by the consciousness that created it.

We desperately need a new consciousness that measures success not by how much money is made but by how many people have been helped and loved, and by how much the EARTH has been helped and loved.

The thing I love about Bob’s music is that in every aspect, it carries the seeds of this new consciousness and does so with FIERCE TENDERNESS!

His music asks us all to fight down the greedy and fearful aspects of mankind with the only thing that can really accomplish such a massive feat: To cultivate the intelligent, open and compassionate aspects of humanity and then act from that core philosophy.

With all this change and hope in the air, It is now up to us to write the next verses of Bob Marley’s music!
